Start of 2nd Year.

After what feels like a lifetime away, it's time to start my 2nd year of University and in a brand new building! We have 4 modules this semester:

• Digital Media Cultures - Aimed at developing our theoretical  critical and analytical skills in relation to media institutions, texts and audience. As well as strengthening our research and writing skills (helpful for our dissertation next year!).
• Beyond the Camera - A module to introduce students to compositing techniques and software packages such as Adobe After Effects and Photoshop.
• TV Studio Production -This module will address multi-camera studio production and allow students to become skilled in the inner-workings of a studio.
• Applied Media Research - Aimed at preparing students to engage in research practices useful for the future as well as understanding the media landscape and how to keep yourself in the loop.

I think i'm most excited about the TV Studio, I can not wait to get to work in such an environment as I never have before. But i'm also excited for the challenges 2nd year will bring, this year actually counts towards my degree and so I want it to be the best it can be!

So it's time to get back to blogging, hopefully this year will be as good as the last.
